The vessel is a VS470 Mk II design platform supply vessel designed to carry out regular supply functions and cargo transport to the offshore oil industry. The vessel has a well deck design for maximum safety of the crew. This PSV was built by Aker Yards AS, Aukra, Norway in 2006. It is a dynamically positioned PSV designed to meet the requirements of DNV DYNPOS AUTR notation. The vessel was upgraded from DP Equipment Class 1 to DP Equipment Class 2 during a refit period in Aberdeen, Scotland in February 2011.
